Meet the Doctors

Dr. Jacobe Holman

Chiropractor Broomfield, Dr. Jake HolmanBecoming a pediatric & prenatal chiropractor was not a clear path for Dr. Jake. After working for several years in the IT field, he felt unfulfilled. He wanted to do something important that had a positive impact on people. A few years prior, he endured a sports injury that seemed unmanageable. Dr. Jake had always been into fitness, but he wasn’t able to overcome the injury. It wasn’t until he was urged to go to a chiropractor that his whole perspective on health shifted. That experience transformed him and sparked a calling that Dr. Jake couldn’t ignore any longer. He eventually accepted that he was meant to be a chiropractor.

Why We Love Seeing Moms and Kids

Dr. Jake earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, MO. Initially, he thought his focus would be caring for athletes with sports injuries since that is how he found chiropractic. However, Dr. Jake’s passion quickly shifted after his first child needed chiropractic care to address developmental issues stemming from birth trauma and complications. That experience opened his eyes to the bigger picture beyond neck and back pain. The gentle and specialized chiropractic adjustments his son received to address torticollis and plagiocephaly had such incredible results that he knew he needed to focus on pediatric and pregnancy care.

Following graduation, he returned to his home state of Colorado and opened Flatirons Family Chiropractic. Although he was focused on building a family practice, it wasn’t until he joined The Pediatric Experience that he was able to fully envision the need and skills required to care for kids and families struggling with the neurodevelopmental challenges that plague our youth today. As a member The Pediatric Experience, Dr. Jake is a part of a collaborative community focused on elevating chiropractic care to a level that all families can benefit.

All About Family

When Dr. Jake isn’t at the office, he’s spending time with his wife, Laura, and their sons. They love to be outside boating, camping, and hiking, as well as traveling together and having family movie nights.

Dr. Andrea Schrock

Dr. Andrea SchrockInitially, it was exciting to work for a global organization that would challenge her and provides many opportunities for advancement, but after relocating across the country four times and experiencing overwhelming stress due to increasing demands and pressure, she found herself in a very dark, miserable place. She remembers her father encouraging her to quit her job, but she could not envision what she would do if she left and resorted to anxiety medication, as that felt like the only solution at the time. Several months later, her GI tract came to an abrupt halt, and she couldn’t go to the bathroom for over six months.

Chiropractic Experience

One day during this challenging time, in an airport far from where they grew up, she ran into her childhood friend, Holly, who was a chiropractor in the city she was living. Even though she knew nothing about chiropractic at the time, something inside Andrea told her to make an appointment with Dr. Holly to see if there was anything she could do to help. From the moment Andrea walked into Dr. Holly’s office, she felt a sense of hope that she did not get from anything else she had tried. She signed up for care, and two months later, everything was functioning normally again. As an added bonus, her asthma and allergies she’d had her entire life also resolved, and she quickly tossed every medication she’d ever taken in the garbage.

Not only did chiropractic care change her physical health, but it also gave her the clarity and courage to leave her sales career and become a chiropractor, so that she could share this incredible gift with others as it had been shared with her. Having experienced similar stresses to what many Americans are feeling in their careers, with their health, and with life in general, Dr. Andrea has a special ability to relate to the people she serves, providing hope and shining a light on a future that they may not be able to see for themselves, just as it was done for her.

Life and Passion

Dr. Andrea’s passions include hiking (and virtually anything outdoors), cooking and sharing meals with friends and family, Sunday worship, traveling, Pilates, and triathlon. She studied abroad in Sevilla, Spain for a year in college and speaks fluent Spanish, which she is excited to incorporate into the practice to serve the local Hispanic community.

Chiropractic Techniques

All the doctors have invested significant time in learning various chiropractic adjusting approaches and techniques. They all use a combination of TRT, Logan, toggle, Thompson, Sacral Occipital (SOT), extremity adjusting, and MC2 techniques. As a result, each visit they’ll find, assess, and use the appropriate technique to adjust the subluxations in your nervous system.

As prenatal focused chiropractors, all the doctors are certified in the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association’s (ICPA) Webster technique, which is specific to caring for pregnant women.

Dr. Andrea is also a certified Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET) practitioner and immensely passionate about helping people process stress through this powerful mind-body approach.
